Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. (Ezekiel 36:37)
Earlier, God had refused to listen (see chs. 14:3, 4; 20:3). But the time would come when “the house of Israel,” chastened in body and in spirit, would realize their dependence upon God and would seek Him for the counsel and guidance without which it would be impossible for them as a nation to realize the high destiny that awaited them (see pp. 26-30).
