Genesis 2:1
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. (Genesis 2:1)
Were finished.
 The first three verses of the second chapter, and half of v. 4, are actually an unbroken continuation of the creation narrative of the first chapter. Verse 1, in solemn retrospect, links the work of the preceding six days with the Sabbath rest that followed. When God “ended his work” He left no unfinished business (see Heb. 4:3). The word “host,” ṣaba’, here denotes all created things.
