Daniel 2:12
For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. (Daniel 2:12)
Commanded to destroy.
The severity of the sentence was not out of keeping with the customs of the times. It was, however, a bold step on the part of the king, because the men whose death he had ordered were the learned classes of society.
Babylon.
Possibly only the city and not the whole realm of Babylonia.
