Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few. (Acts 17:12)

Therefore.
As a result of diligent, daily searching of the Scriptures many believed the gospel message. The Bible will still bring conviction and conversion to those who sincerely search its pages for truth.
Many of them believed.
 In contrast with “some of them believed” (v. 4).
Honourable women.
 That is, women of good rank or standing, distinguished for their influence and wealth (cf. on ch. 13:50).
Which were Greeks.
 The phrase refers especially to the women, but it is probable that the men were also included (see on v. 4).
