Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us. (Isaiah 26:12)
Or, “for us.” God is constantly at work for His people, never against them. The trials and disappointments they experience are for their good.
Fire for God’s enemies (
v. 11), but for the righteous, peace.
