He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend. (Proverbs 22:11)

The king.
 In contrast with the scorner in the previous verse, the pure in heart speaks gently and creates peace wherever he goes. Such a one is welcome even in royal courts, for his praise is so obviously sincere (see ch. 16:13).
