Judges 8:26
And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels’ necks. (Judges 8:26)
The weight.
 The weight of the golden earrings came to about 42 lb. 10 oz. (19.3 kg.) Gen. 24:22 records that a single earring may weigh as much as half a shekel.
Ornaments.
 Heb. śaharonim (see on v. 21).
Collars.
Heb. neṭiphot. That is, “drops.” They were a type of pendant for the ears.
