Deuteronomy 19:20
And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you. (Deuteronomy 19:20)
Commit no more.
 This law was bound to restrain selfishness and tended to bring in a higher sense of public duty and morality (see chs. 13:11; 17:13).
