Psalm 31:13
For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life. (Psalm 31:13)
Fear.
Heb. magor, “terror” (compare the use of magor in Isa. 31:9; Jer. 6:25; 20:3-10; 46:5). An exclamation indicating the psalmist’s intense fear of everyone and everything he met (see Jer. 20:10).
Slander.
Or, “whispering,” or, “evil report.”
