Proverbs 29:25
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. (Proverbs 29:25)
Fear of man.
The person who is so afraid of men that he neglects his duty or does what he knows to be wrong, endangers his salvation. But the man who fears the Lord is “safe,” literally, “set on high,” and hence protected from all attacks of the enemy (see Prov. 18:10; Isa. 51:12; Matt. 10:28; Mark 8:38).
