And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. (Numbers 20:12)

Lack of faith prevented the exhibition of God’s holiness through Moses and Aaron.
Ye shall not bring.
The implication is that Moses and Aaron would be removed from their high position by death ere the people entered the Holy land.
Ye believed me not.
Here is where Moses failed.
