And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place. (Micah 1:4)
The coming of the Lord is frequently represented as accompanied by a convulsion of nature (see Judges 5:4, 5; Ps. 97:4, 5; see on Ps. 18:7, 8). A most fearful upheaval in the physical world will precede and accompany the second coming of Christ (Matt. 24:29; Rev. 16:18-21; GC 636, 637).
