Luke 21:25
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; (Luke 21:25)
Signs.
 See on Matt. 24:29.
With perplexity.
The Greek implies that the “perplexity” is due to “the sea and the waves roaring.” The last part of v. 25 reads literally, “and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity [at] the roaring of the sea and the waves.”
The sea.
Christ here associates manifestations of the destructive forces of nature with signs in the heavens immediately preceding His return to earth in power and glory.
