Die priester moet die aangetaste plek op die vel van die vlees ondersoek. As die hare op die plek wit geword het en die plek lyk dieper as die vel van sy vlees, dan is dit ’n melaatse seer en die priester moet hom ná die ondersoek onrein verklaar. (LEVÍTIKUS 13:3)

Neka svećenik pregleda zaraženo mjesto na koži njegova tijela. Ako je dlaka na zaraženom mjestu postala bijela i učini se da je ono dublje od kože njegova tijela, onda je to guba. Pošto ga svećenik pregleda, neka ga proglasi nečistim. (Levitski zakonik 13:3)
