Perhaps descendants of Cush (Gen. 10:7), or of Abraham by Keturah (Gen. 25:3). The Sabeans have been identified as living in various sections of Arabia. Hence the location of the land of Uz (see on v. 1) cannot be determined by locating the Sabeans.
