Jeremiah 50:5
They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten. (Jeremiah 50:5)
A perpetual covenant.
It was God’s purpose that the discipline of the exiles should lead to genuine repentance and that the remnant of Israel should, upon their return, fulfill the destiny God had planned for the descendants of Abraham (see pp. 29, 30).
