Jeremiah 23:20
The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. (Jeremiah 23:20)
Not return.
That is, God’s “anger” will not turn back until God’s purpose has been executed.
In the latter days.
 After the Babylonian captivity, then God’s people will understand that it was for their chastisement and discipline (see Eze. 14:22, 23).
