Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them. (Deuteronomy 1:8)

Sware unto.
 A reference to the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and recorded in Gen. 15:18; 17:7, 8; 28:13. Compare Gen. 9:9; 17:7-10, 19; 35:12; 48:4; Ex. 28:43; Num. 25:13.
I have set the land.
Literally, “I have given the land,” that is, placed it at your disposal.
