2 Kings 25:13
And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the Lord, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon. (2 Kings 25:13)
The pillars of brass.
The more valuable treasures of the Temple had previously been taken to Babylon (Dan. 1:2; 2 Chron. 36:7; 2 Kings 24:13; 2 Chron. 36:10; Jer. 28:3). But there still remained some of the massive works of bronze made by Hiram for Solomon’s Temple, such as the two pillars set up at the entrance to the Temple (1 Kings 7:15-21), the brazen sea (1 Kings 7:23-26), and the bases of brass (1 Kings 7:27, 28).
