2 Chronicles 18:3
And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war. (2 Chronicles 18:3)
My people as thy people.
The parallel account adds, “my horses as thy horses” (1 Kings 22:4). Chariots played an important part in the impending battle. At the battle of Qarqar, from which Ahab had just returned, Israel had provided, according to the Assyrian account, 2,000 chariots and 10,000 infantry, while Benhadad of Syria had 1,200 chariots, 1,200 cavalry, and 20,000 infantry.
Said unto Jehoshaphat.
This verse is similar to 1 Kings 22:4. From here on the accounts in Chronicles and Kings differ only slightly (see on 1 Kings 22).
