As Elijah slept, a hand touched his side and a pleasant voice greeted him. It was an angel sent from God with a message of life and hope. First of all there was food to supply the wants of his body and to assist in restoring courage to his soul. It is wonderful what food can do to revive man’s drooping spirits and bring back strength and courage that have fled. There was divine wisdom in God’s simple treatment of the weary and exhausted prophet.
