Psalm 135

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord. 6 I
2 Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God. 2 I
3 Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant. 20 I
4 For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure. 2 I
5 For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. 12 I
6 Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places. 4 I
7 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries. 4 I
8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
9 Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
10 Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;
11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
12 And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.
13 Thy name, O Lord, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O Lord, throughout all generations. 10 I
14 For the Lord will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.
15 The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
16 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
17 They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
18 They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.
19 Bless the Lord, O house of Israel: bless the Lord, O house of Aaron: 2 I
20 Bless the Lord, O house of Levi: ye that fear the Lord, bless the Lord. 4 I
21 Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.

Numbers 16

1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: 10 I
2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: 10 I
3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the Lord? 10 I
4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face: 10 I
5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the Lord will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him. 10 I
6 This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company; 10 I
7 And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the Lord to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the Lord doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi. 10 I
8 And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi: 10 I
9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them? 10 I
10 And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also? 10 I
11 For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the Lord: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him? 10 I
12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up: 10 I
13 Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us? 10 I
14 Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up. 10 I
15 And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the Lord, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them. 10 I
16 And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the Lord, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow: 10 I
17 And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the Lord every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer. 10 I
18 And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron. 10 I
19 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the congregation. 10 I
20 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 10 I
21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. 10 I
22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation? 10 I
23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 10 I
24 Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. 10 I
25 And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him. 10 I
26 And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of their’s, lest ye be consumed in all their sins. 10 I
27 So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children. 10 I
28 And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the Lord hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind. 10 I
29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the Lord hath not sent me. 10 I
30 But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord. 10 I
31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them: 10 I
32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. 10 I
33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. 10 I
34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also. 10 I
35 And there came out a fire from the Lord, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense. 10 I
36 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 10 I
37 Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed. 10 I
38 The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the Lord, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel. 10 I
39 And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar: 10 I
40 To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the Lord; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the Lord said to him by the hand of Moses. 10 I
41 But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the Lord. 10 I
42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared. 10 I
43 And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation. 10 I
44 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 10 I
45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces. 10 I
46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Lord; the plague is begun. 10 I
47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. 10 I
48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. 10 I
49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah. 10 I
50 And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed. 10 I

Numbers 17

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 10 I
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man’s name upon his rod. 10 I
3 And thou shalt write Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers. 10 I
4 And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you. 10 I
5 And it shall come to pass, that the man’s rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you. 12 I
6 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods. 10 I
7 And Moses laid up the rods before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness. 10 I
8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. 12 I
9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod. 10 I
10 And the Lord said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not. 12 I
11 And Moses did so: as the Lord commanded him, so did he. 10 I
12 And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish. 10 I
13 Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the Lord shall die: shall we be consumed with dying? 10 I

Isaiah 55

1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 28 I
2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. 16 I
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. 14 I
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. 2 I
5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. 5 I
6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 20 I
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 24 I
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 20 I
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 22 I
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 10 I
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 19 I
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 6 I
13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off. 5 I

1 Thessalonians 2

17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? 27 I
20 For ye are our glory and joy. 11 I

1 Thessalonians 3

10 Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? 13 I
11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. 4 I
12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: 19 I
13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. 9 I
1 Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;
2 And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
3 That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
5 For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
6 But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
7 Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: 9 I
8 For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. 9 I
9 For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God; 4 I
