Ecclesiastes 3

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 14 I
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 2 I
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 2 I
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 3 I
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. 2 I

Genesis 1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 52 I
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 16 I
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 19 I
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 12 I
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. 15 I
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 10 I
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 12 I
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. 14 I
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 I
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. 10 I
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 18 I
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 17 I
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day. 14 I
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 14 I
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 10 I
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 14 I
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 10 I
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 12 I
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. 14 I
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 12 I
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 I
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 16 I
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. 16 I
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 10 I
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 I
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 14 I
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 16 I
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 14 I
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 I
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. 14 I
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. 17 I

Luke 1

1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 2 I
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 4 I
7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course,
9 According to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.
11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. 2 I
14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 4 I
15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. 4 I
16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. 2 I
17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. 2 I
18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. 2 I
19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. 2 I
20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. 2 I
21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.
22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.
23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, 2 I
25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men. 2 I
