Exodus 18:25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 10 I MC VC

John 18:16 But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. MC VC
John 18:17 Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man’s disciples? He saith, I am not. MC VC
John 18:18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself. MC VC
John 18:19 The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine. MC VC
John 18:20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing. MC VC
John 18:21 Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said. MC VC
John 18:22 And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so? MC VC
John 18:23 Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me? MC VC
John 18:24 Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest. MC VC

Acts 5:25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people. MC VC
Acts 5:26 Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned. MC VC
Acts 5:27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, MC VC
Acts 5:28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us. MC VC
Acts 5:34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; MC VC
Acts 5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: MC VC
Acts 5:39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. MC VC
Acts 5:40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. MC VC
Acts 5:41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. MC VC
