1) This is
the first step in justification, symbolized in the court of the earthly sanctuary.
2) It is a free gift, a gift of grace or divine favor, which we accept by faith through Jesus Christ. * 입혀주시는 의(imputed righteousness)를 말한다.
3) The second birth is the requisite for adaption into the family or household(가족—킹제임스역; 권속—개역판) of God, and baptism is the adoption ceremony.
4) Then Jesus the Son of God become our Elder Brother.
5) Washing at the laver in the Mosaic dispensation corresponds in the Christian dispensation not only to the ordinance of baptism, but to the ordinance of feet washing, as instituted by Christ.
6) God now commits unto us
“the ministry of reconciliation,” and we become
“Ambassadors for Christ,” beseeching others
“in Christ's stead” (그리스도를 대신하여, 개역판, 킹제임스역) to be reconciled to God. II Cor. 5:18—20.
“the ministry of reconciliation” (화목하게 하는 직책, 개역판; 화해의 직분, 킹제임스역),
“Ambassadors for Christ” (그리스도를 대신한 대사, 개역판, 킹제임스역).
7) Thus from the very beginning of our Christian experience we are to become
“laborers together with God” (하나님의 동역자들, 개역판; 하나님과 함께 일하는 동역자들, 킹제임스역).
