Psalm 92

1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: 2 I
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. 2 I
4 For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. 9 I
5 O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. 10 I
6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. 6 I
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: 10 I
8 But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore. 10 I
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. 4 I
10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. 2 I
11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 8 I
13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. 6 I
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; 7 I
15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. 9 I

Exodus 38

1 And he made the altar of burnt offering of shittim wood: five cubits was the length thereof, and five cubits the breadth thereof; it was foursquare; and three cubits the height thereof. 12 I
2 And he made the horns thereof on the four corners of it; the horns thereof were of the same: and he overlaid it with brass. 12 I
3 And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels, and the basons, and the fleshhooks, and the firepans: all the vessels thereof made he of brass. 12 I
4 And he made for the altar a brasen grate of network under the compass thereof beneath unto the midst of it. 12 I
5 And he cast four rings for the four ends of the grate of brass, to be places for the staves. 12 I
6 And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with brass. 12 I
7 And he put the staves into the rings on the sides of the altar, to bear it withal; he made the altar hollow with boards. 12 I
8 And he made the laver of brass, and the foot of it of brass, of the lookingglasses of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 14 I
9 And he made the court: on the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, an hundred cubits: 10 I
10 Their pillars were twenty, and their brasen sockets twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. 10 I
11 And for the north side the hangings were an hundred cubits, their pillars were twenty, and their sockets of brass twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver. 10 I
12 And for the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten, and their sockets ten; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver. 10 I
13 And for the east side eastward fifty cubits. 10 I
14 The hangings of the one side of the gate were fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three. 10 I
15 And for the other side of the court gate, on this hand and that hand, were hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three. 10 I
16 All the hangings of the court round about were of fine twined linen. 10 I
17 And the sockets for the pillars were of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver; and the overlaying of their chapiters of silver; and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver. 9 I
18 And the hanging for the gate of the court was needlework, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: and twenty cubits was the length, and the height in the breadth was five cubits, answerable to the hangings of the court. 10 I
19 And their pillars were four, and their sockets of brass four; their hooks of silver, and the overlaying of their chapiters and their fillets of silver. 10 I
20 And all the pins of the tabernacle, and of the court round about, were of brass. 10 I
21 This is the sum of the tabernacle, even of the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest. 9 I
22 And Bezaleel the son Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the Lord commanded Moses. 10 I
23 And with him was Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, and a cunning workman, and an embroiderer in blue, and in purple, and in scarlet, and fine linen. 10 I
24 All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the holy place, even the gold of the offering, was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary. 12 I
25 And the silver of them that were numbered of the congregation was an hundred talents, and a thousand seven hundred and threescore and fifteen shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: 10 I
26 A bekah for every man, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men. 10 I
27 And of the hundred talents of silver were cast the sockets of the sanctuary, and the sockets of the vail; an hundred sockets of the hundred talents, a talent for a socket. 10 I
28 And of the thousand seven hundred seventy and five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their chapiters, and filleted them. 10 I
29 And the brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels. 10 I
30 And therewith he made the sockets to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the brasen altar, and the brasen grate for it, and all the vessels of the altar, 10 I
31 And the sockets of the court round about, and the sockets of the court gate, and all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins of the court round about. 10 I

Esther 5

1 Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king’s house, over against the king’s house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.
2 And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.
3 Then said the king unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom.
4 And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.
5 Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther hath said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
6 And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.
7 Then answered Esther, and said, My petition and my request is;
8 If I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do to morrow as the king hath said.
9 Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king’s gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.
10 Nevertheless Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent and called for his friends, and Zeresh his wife.
11 And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.
12 Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.
13 Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.
14 Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.

1 Corinthians 10

7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. 4 I
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 7 I
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 5 I
11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 8 I
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 20 I
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 43 I
14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. 8 I
15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. 4 I
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 3 I
17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. 5 I
18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. 5 I
22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. 5 I
24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth. 16 I
25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
26 For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.
27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
28 But if any man say unto you, this is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:
29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience?
30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 36 I
32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: 3 I
33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. 21 I
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 5 I
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 11 I
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 11 I
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 13 I
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 5 I
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 5 I

1 Corinthians 11

1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 9 I
