Psalm 104

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. 4 I
2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: 6 I
3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: 6 I
4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: 2 I
5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. 2 I
6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
10 He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills. 7 I
11 They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. 7 I
12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches. 7 I
13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. 6 I
14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.
16 The trees of the Lord are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted; 8 I
17 Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house. 8 I
18 The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies. 6 I
19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down. 4 I
20 Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth. 4 I
21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God. 2 I
22 The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens. 2 I
23 Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening. 2 I
24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. 16 I
25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. 2 I
26 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein. 2 I
27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season. 2 I
28 That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good. 8 I
29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. 10 I
30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth. 24 I
31 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works. 4 I
32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke. 2 I
33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. 25 I
34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord. 14 I
35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the Lord, O my soul. Praise ye the Lord. 6 I

Leviticus 11

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them, 30 I
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth. 38 I
3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat. 40 I
4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 38 I
5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 36 I
6 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 35 I
7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. 36 I
8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you. 36 I
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. 34 I
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: 32 I
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. 30 I
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you. 32 I
13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, 33 I
14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind; 33 I
15 Every raven after his kind; 34 I
16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, 34 I
17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl, 34 I
18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle, 33 I
19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. 34 I
20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you. 30 I
21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth; 29 I
22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind. 30 I
23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you. 34 I
24 And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even. 30 I
25 And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even. 30 I
26 The carcases of every beast which divideth the hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean. 30 I
27 And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even. 30 I
28 And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you. 30 I
29 These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind, 30 I
30 And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole. 30 I
31 These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even. 30 I
32 And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed. 28 I
33 And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it. 28 I
34 Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean. 29 I
35 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean and shall be unclean unto you. 29 I
36 Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean. 30 I
37 And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean. 30 I
38 But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you. 29 I
39 And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even. 30 I
40 And he that eateth of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even. 29 I
41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten. 29 I
42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination. 30 I
43 Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby. 30 I
44 For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 34 I
45 For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. 32 I
46 This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth: 29 I
47 To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten. 30 I

Isaiah 9

8 The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. 1 I
9 And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart, 1 I
10 The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars. 1 I
11 Therefore the Lord shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;
12 The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. 1 I
13 For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts. 6 I
14 Therefore the Lord will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. 6 I
15 The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail. 6 I
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed. 4 I
17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
18 For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.
19 Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.
20 And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
21 Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Isaiah 10

6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
8 For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?
9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
10 As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. 2 I
13 For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
14 And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
15 Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood. 2 I
16 Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire. 4 I
17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;
18 And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth.
19 And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness. 4 I
23 For the Lord God of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land. 4 I
24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
26 And the Lord of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:
29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
30 Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? 4 I
4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. 2 I
5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
31 Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.
32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
33 Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled. 4 I
34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

2 Corinthians 6

11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
12 Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.
13 Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 8 I
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 6 I
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 12 I
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 8 I
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 9 I

2 Corinthians 7

1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 24 I
2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. 2 I
3 I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. 4 I
4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. 2 I
5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
6 Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
7 And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.
8 For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.
9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 4 I
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 22 I
11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. 5 I
12 Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.
13 Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.
14 For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth.
15 And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.
16 I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things.
