1 Chronicles 23:5~30
1 Chronicles 23:5 Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the Lord with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:6 And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, namely, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:7 Of the Gershonites were, Laadan, and Shimei. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:8 The sons of Laadan; the chief was Jehiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:9 The sons of Shimei; Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the chief of the fathers of Laadan. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:10 And the sons of Shimei were, Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:11 And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons; therefore they were in one reckoning, according to their father’s house. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:12 The sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:13 The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the Lord, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:14 Now concerning Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:15 The sons of Moses were, Gershom, and Eliezer. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:16 Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the chief. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:17 And the sons of Eliezer were, Rehabiah the chief. And Eliezer had none other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:18 Of the sons of Izhar; Shelomith the chief. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:19 Of the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:20 Of the sons of Uzziel; Micah the first and Jesiah the second. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:21 The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. The sons of Mahli; Eleazar, and Kish. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:22 And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters: and their brethren the sons of Kish took them. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:23 The sons of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:24 These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the Lord, from the age of twenty years and upward. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:25 For David said, The Lord God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever: MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:26 And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof. MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:27 For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above: MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:28 Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God; MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:29 Both for the shewbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size; MC VC
1 Chronicles 23:30 And to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at even: 6 I MC VC
2 Chronicles 5:12~13
2 Chronicles 5:12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:) MC VC
2 Chronicles 5:13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; 2 I MC VC
Nehemiah 12:24, 27~43
Nehemiah 12:24 And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward. MC VC
Nehemiah 12:27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps. MC VC
Nehemiah 12:28 And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi; MC VC
Nehemiah 12:29 Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem. MC VC
Nehemiah 12:30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall. 2 I MC VC
Nehemiah 12:31 Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate: MC VC
Nehemiah 12:32 And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah, MC VC
Nehemiah 12:33 And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam, MC VC
Nehemiah 12:34 Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah, MC VC
Nehemiah 12:35 And certain of the priests’ sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph: MC VC
Nehemiah 12:36 And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them. MC VC
Nehemiah 12:37 And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward. MC VC
Nehemiah 12:38 And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall; MC VC
Nehemiah 12:39 And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate. MC VC
Nehemiah 12:40 So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me: MC VC
Nehemiah 12:41 And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets; MC VC
Nehemiah 12:42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer. MC VC
Nehemiah 12:43 Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off. MC VC
