Numbers 32:1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle; 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:2 The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying, 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:3 Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon, 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:4 Even the country which the Lord smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle: 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:5 Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:6 And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here? 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:7 And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the Lord hath given them? 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:8 Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadeshbarnea to see the land. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:9 For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the Lord had given them. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:10 And the Lord’S anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying, 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me: 12 I MC VC

Numbers 32:12 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the Lord. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:13 And the Lord’S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the Lord, was consumed. 12 I MC VC

Numbers 32:14 And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the Lord toward Israel. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:15 For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:16 And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones: 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:17 But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:18 We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:19 For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:20 And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the Lord to war, 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:21 And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the Lord, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him, 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:22 And the land be subdued before the Lord: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the Lord, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the Lord. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:24 Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth. 9 I MC VC

Numbers 32:25 And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:26 Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead: 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:27 But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the Lord to battle, as my lord saith. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:28 So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel: 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:29 And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the Lord, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession: 9 I MC VC

Numbers 32:30 But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:31 And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the Lord hath said unto thy servants, so will we do. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:32 We will pass over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be our’s. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:34 And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer, 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:35 And Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah, 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:36 And Bethnimrah, and Bethharan, fenced cities: and folds for sheep. 9 I MC VC

Numbers 32:37 And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim, 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:38 And Nebo, and Baalmeon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:39 And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:40 And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:41 And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Havothjair. 10 I MC VC

Numbers 32:42 And Nobah went and took Kenath, and the villages thereof, and called it Nobah, after his own name. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:1 Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:2 And the Lord said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:3 So the Lord our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:4 And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:6 And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:8 And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon; 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:9 (Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;) 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:10 All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:11 For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:12 And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:14 Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:15 And I gave Gilead unto Machir. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:16 And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon; 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:17 The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:18 And I commanded you at that time, saying, The Lord your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war. 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:19 But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you; 10 I MC VC

Deuteronomy 3:20 Until the Lord have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the Lord your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you. 10 I MC VC

Joshua 13:15 And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance according to their families. 10 I MC VC

Joshua 13:16 And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba; 10 I MC VC

Joshua 13:17 Heshbon, and all her cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamothbaal, and Bethbaalmeon, 10 I MC VC

Joshua 13:18 And Jahaza, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath, 10 I MC VC

Joshua 13:19 And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zarethshahar in the mount of the valley, 10 I MC VC

Joshua 13:20 And Bethpeor, and Ashdothpisgah, and Bethjeshimoth, 10 I MC VC

Joshua 13:21 And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country. 10 I MC VC

Joshua 13:22 Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them. 10 I MC VC

Joshua 13:23 And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and the villages thereof. 10 I MC VC

Joshua 18:7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the Lord is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave them. 10 I MC VC
